Would this idea look like sh*t? I'm thinking of painting the actual reflector housing black as it's already stripped but keeping the front inlay chrome. Looking for thoughts on whether this would look good or I'm seriously wasting my time not stripping that housing. On the double cab tundra. These are two separate pieces. Maybe on other lights also but I don't necessarily think it would look horrible. Looking for input por favor!

I mean, I personally don't love it, but I pretty much hate when anything is blacked out on light trucks, especially white or silver.

But I mean ... it's your ride, it's a reflection of your taste and personality. Roll with what speaks to you. Looks better than a lot of what's out there pre-made!

I know what ya mean. Without sounding like a total asswipe I'm afraid it's gonna look like trucks that have chrome trim everywhere. That's not what I'm looking for, but once I realize they were separate pieces, I thought maybe it would make the headlight pop a little more. But at the same time if I don't like it it sucks to redo

But this particular situation I don't know what my taste is well but I personality is all over the fucking place at the same time. Ha

I should add that these aren't that hard to get apart after baking, if you use gloves that have some rubber coating on them, and a pry tool to start the separation, basically sliding it in between the lens and the backing part and then using a pry tool that has a 90° angle on it too. Slowly pull the lens away as you hold the back portion.

Not quite sure....it'll be really annoying if go this route and not like it. Tearing apart everything again
