Today I was looking at my engine (2021 Tundra) and noticed this on the drivers side of the engine. It appears that the material is foam packing material and started to remove which was easy to remove but thought wait....I should at least find out if it has a purpose or what it's for.
    Any ideas?????

Hit that search button in the top right. Type engine foam. Check the box to "search titles only". Three threads discussing it right there for your viewing pleasure!

No it has a purpose, it gives the squirrels and mice something to chew on.... Not once but twice, the little bastards have chewed up my wires...little fuckers.

Exactly, that is future rat bedding. My top end is definitely more noisy after the rats ate it all

I find it very coincidental that every one of those threads were started with people who have less than 20 posts, lol.

Not an inconvenience. Just an observation. I'm bored and you provided the entertainment. That's what these forums provide for me.

    S'all good.
