Hey guys my 2016 5.7l 80k miles is nearing the end of my extended service coverage. I live in western New York where we heavily salt the roads. It's ski country and heavy lake effect snow. I know it's only a matter of time before the AIP has problems. Is there any way to remove and clean or lubricate pumps or valves in order to keep them operating properly? I only have 4 months left on my warranty, never had to use it in 5 years until today. She finally let me down driving down the road yesterday, she just quit(Not AIP related) thinking fuel pump/Ecu problem.
Anyways that's what got me thinking is there any way to get the AIP system to fail before it runs out? Where I live honestly can't believe it hasn't been a problem yet, or maybe the problem is finally fixed by 2016? But it will be my luck as soon as it runs out it will throw a code.
Either somehow get it to fail or prevent it from failing? TIA Josh
