A couple of times after backing a landscaping trailer, putting the truck in park, and exiting the truck I found that the bed step had deployed (tailgate was up / closed). Software glitch or bad sensor in the tailgate? I'll watch more closely next time to see if I can reproduce it. So far it's happened twice.
