Need help locating where the transmission lines attach to the engine. I am replacing the starter on a 2007 tundra crewmax 5.7l. I can't access the upper bolt because the lines are in the way, so I can't get a socket on it.

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Unbolt the retainer for that hose at the top rear of the engine and unbolt the other one that's just above that top bolt. It will give you enough clearance to put a socket on to it. This is how I removed it. Best of luck.

The hardline that goes down. I do think it's shared with an SAIP, but if you unbolt that chromed one and move the hose near the starter you will feel it move slightly. Then remove the bolt on that bracket that holds that hose hear the starter and you will have just enough room to remove the top bolt. Do that one last, since it will pressure your ratchet in place, bright side keeps it aligned for the new starter. The bottom one I had like 6 extensions turning it out by the cats. This is not my engine bay

Both of these gotta come out too. Top may be a little complicated, but it's shallow. With the bracket at the top of the engine removed and this bottom (circled) one out, the middle (arrow) should be pretty easy to remove. Again with the starter's top bolt the ratchet will get jammed in there and the bolt will not come out but will release the starter. I removed it out of the front of the engine and had to loosen the harness on the frame rail because it wouldn't release it.
