I'm a little skeptical of the structural integrity though. If you've ever looked at a Tundra it's boxed under the engine, then it transitions to a beefy closed-C under the cab, and then transitions to thin open C around the forward leafspring mount. The rear end is the same on all the versions, it's beefy open C that gets lengthened on the DC Long. Also huge rivets are used to join pieces, rather than welds. I'm not a welder, but would that indicate the alloy they used doesn't take welding very well?

So he lengthened the weakest part of the frame buy far... the closed C part is at least 2x the strength and stiffness of the open C. Also it didn't look like he had any transition or reinforcement at the weld; just a straight vertical join.

It's cool how quickly he got this done, but I think a lot more reinforcement is needed...

I think the design and welds will hold.
I'm a little concerned about the mullet though.
