I have a 2021 tundra trail and I was looking at upgrading the suspension in a few months. I plan on running 35s on the truck so I figured I get the lift done first. I was looking at the bilstien 6113/5100. I have the coach builder +3 shackles these give about a 1.75 inch lift in the rear. Will the 5100 work in the rear, those say they are just for 1 inch lifts. Also ive read about changing the bump stops to stop them from over compression. Any suggestions? I'm new to all this thanks.

I have a 2021 Trail, and just installed Eibach Pro 2.0 in the Front (2.5" lift) and Bilstein 5160s in the rear (no lift). I also have3 the CB 3+ shackle, but I am waiting to install it.

I was going to use Bilstein all around, but after waiting 3+ months for the 6112's, I opted for the Eibach. Glad I did, I love them, plus they are adjustable.

    6112s in the rear?
    6112s are front Coilover shocks.

Did you mean the 5160s in the rear?

Your truck sits about level now.
Those CB 3+ shackles are gonna jack that rear end up with close to 1.75" of lift to give you the stock rake back.
Hope that is what you are looking for....

That level look seems pretty sweet..

I had that level look with my 6112/5160s.

But got a little rake back with Toytec shackles on the 1" setting.

    Good luck..

YEP, sorry, 5160s in the rear. I was going to use the 6112's in the front, but could never get my hands on a set.

I will not be installing the CB 3+ shackle, going to sell it. i am happy with the way it sits now.

    Thanks!

Yea i so i bought some toytec rear shocks, still saving for my front suspension. Idk how i feel bout the rear shocks, i got the CB +3 and ordered an icon add a leaf for the rear that gives me about 3 inches in the rear. Ive seen bilstien 5100 have a 1, 2, and 4 inch lift varriant. Will the 2 inch varriant work or should i go for the 4 inch ones? Or are there any other brands that you guys suggest?

If they are Toytec boss then they can handle a lift of 1-3 inches in the rear so you should be good. If not, I’ve seen Bilsteins listed on a few sites, shock surplus being one of them that you can buy them for a 2-3 inch lift in the rear.
I’m kind of in a similar scenario. I have a 3 inch spacer lift in the front and My stock leaf springs are garbage. Ended up getting CB2+ shackles and installed them which I think made the springs even flatter. Just recently purchased the icon leaf pack which adds 1.75 inches to the rear. It’ll completely restore the factory rake if I use both the shackles and the springs. My plan though is to go Toytec all the way around once I have the funds and once they go on sale. Just not sure if i want all that rake back.

Yea when i bought them they specified being good for a 3 inch lift but. Only reason im thinking of swapping then is because my rear seems kinda bouncy. At the time bilstiens were sold out everywhere so i gave the toytec ones a shot. Ive read the oversized shackles while make the leaf more springy. So i wanna put the add a leaf on first before i make any other moves. Ive read that the icon leaf makes the rear smooth. I want the rake cuz i plan a towing a bit so i wanna help a bit with the sag.

Yeah I have bilstein 5160’s on the rear, the 1.5inch version. They helped smooth things out but the CB shackles helped eliminate bed bounce almost completely. That’s why I’m tempted to keep both when I install the icon leafs although upgrade to the 2-3 inch version of the shock. My lone complaint with the bilsteins in the back is they already have corrosion on them. Didn’t take long at all, one winter basically so they don’t look great from the side. As far as other things you’ll need in the rear once you do the add a leaf you’ll probably need the brake line relocation kit which is a super easy install and adds some additional slack on your brake lines as a result of the lift. You’ll also need the carrier bearing drop spacer or you’ll get some vibration from take off. Coachbuilder sells both, Toytec sells just the old man emu brake line kit.

Yeah big time. Once I did the shackles though it made a huge difference

Yea my ride feels somewhat bouncy i might just swap the toytec out for bilstiens, i heard good thing bout the boss kits but i think they just changed it to aluma and my ride in the rear dosent feel smooth.
