2018 with 48k miles. Also appears to be leaking refrigerant oil onto my skid plate. Anyone else have their AC fail with such low mileage. Goes in tomorrow.

The AC light on the dash was blinking on mine and no cold air, ended up just being the relay for the magnetic clutch. Having the AC go out is not fun.

No dash lights for me! Just no cold air out of the vents.

Ya that sucks, I assume you have the dual climate control as well since you have the Platinum. Our Rav4 has that and it makes it harder to troubleshoot. Hopefully it ends up just being an easy leak and a not to expensive fix.

Usually what we see at the shop is a rock or small stone thru the condenser on something that young.

Hopefully covered under your extended warranty (it should).

On a side note, really like the look of your platinum. Those Methods look great.

My GMC did this and it was a cracked evap core.

my Subaru was a bad compressor.

    Both failed within 30k miles.

Can you please give me a part number for that relay?
For years my AC works 95% of the time.
But something cuts the compressor off for anywhere from 5 seconds to 15 minutes and the AC blows warm air.
If I hit a bump in the road the cold air kicks back in.
Maybe it is that relay flaking out on me.

The dealership can't fix it, because they can't replicate the problem.

    Thanks.

No... I had the clutch seize up on the compressor on my '08 last year at around 245k. So, I ended up replacing the compressor and related parts. Crazy thing is that toward the end of summer it started blowing warm air again, but I was already out of warranty due to mileage on the repair. Did some quick troubleshooting at home and found the Schrader valve on the L pressure access port to be leaking. So, that was a pretty easy and cheap fix, but I had to pay for another round of freon since it had all leaked out.

I hope they find the source of your trouble quickly and take care of it w/o too much headache though

Hope its not that, sounds like warranty would not cover that!

O-ring on the condenser let go so they are replacing the condenser and O-ring under warranty. Second time the Extended warranty paid for itself!

Yes they have, been cruising around in the RAV 4 hybrid the warranty provided for me. I put 100 miles on it and the gas gauge barely moved!

I've had that problem on tundras before. It turned out to be the relay. Simple fix

    Too many mods to come
Mine stopped blowing cold. Discovered the ac line was rubbing on the suspension and got a hole. Those headlines run near the frame.

Mine was fixed. Apparently an o-ring let go on the condenser. Replaced the whole condenser under extended warranty! Cost me 0.

Just got my 18 white crewman from the shop today. Had to add a pound of refrigerant. Also said there were 2 other in today with the same issue.

I had the issue on my 2014 Tundra. The ac light was blinking. I replaced a relay, (I think HTR 50A) problem solved.
Trying to do the same on my 2018 Tundra. There is on HTR 50A relay even though the fuse box cover shows one.
    Any ideas?
