my wife works on an organic farm in the fields and the green houses
being able to identify the good bugs and the bad ones is pretty crucial
Ladybugs eat aphids, which are the scourge of the earth when trying to grow brassica (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, collards, mustard, brussels sprouts, etc.)

It's snowing here. Well, 20 minutes ago it was.

 

Well, now we know who Tyler's spirit animal is.

 

I don’t like cats, but now we have shed cats. So that’s cool

 

Keep 'em fed and they'll murder every rodent they can find.

 

That’s the hope. I gave mama some of our dog food yesterday and went and got real cat food today. Hoping they warm up to us a bit, because right now it’s a hostile environment to get the lawnmower out.

We had outdoor cats when I was a kid. When I married my wife, I adopted two and soon after she added a third. I’ve become a cat guy over time (pretty quickly actually). They are aloof, give zero fucks, and don’t take shit from anyone…much more my style than I ever realized. We’ve adopted and lost many over the years (one of the dangers of living in the woods - only the truly Wiley survive). But they’ve all been pretty damn special.

If they didn’t make my eyes itch like crazy I’d be more open to them. But I’ve also been around too many asshole cats that liked to ninja sneak on me and shred the back of my calf.
