I’m trying to purchase a 2016 tundra and it’s originally from Canada. Tell me what you guys think how bad this rust is or any potential future problems I may have ? Thanks !

That's not so bad, and for $500ish you can have it professionally underbody coated by a shop that'll halt any rust progression nicely.

That's nothing for a 7 yr old Canadian truck.

Edit: Save yourself the $500 (and the unknown if the prep was completed properly) - Spend some time with a wire-wheel and then fluid film the pants off it.

It's nice having a shop here I trust! They showed me their soda blasting setup, looked way better for the time spent vs wire wheeling, but your own time might be cheaper too, certainly. DIY will still spend ~$150 on the Woolwax / Lanolin - more if you don't have the sprayer or equipment for it.

Looks good to me. As a Canadian vehicle owner, that's just surface and nuts and bolts.

The skid plate looks the worst, but that's easily replaceable.

My Tundra is the first vehicle I have ever rust proofed (Corrosion Free), and the only Rush issue we ever had was a 10Y old muffler on our Sienna.

    Completely inadvertent, but fitting.

He can have mine! Put the TRD skidplate on mine so I could get the little access door for my oil filter.

And uhhhh upgraded protection for all that off-roading I do, yeah, that!

Exactly. Clean it up, shoot it with some paint/protector and drive on.

That doesnt look bad at all for 2016, infact looks good, I wonder whats the mileage, wont be surprised if its low. Seem like taken good care of. My 2016 that i purchased in 2020 looked like this... I wire brushed it well & took it in to Krown. Later I did fluid film following years, infact i dont almost use it in winter. kr.jpg kr.jpg kro.jpg kro.jpg kro.jpg krow.jpg krown.jpg
The pics are taken just as i purchased in 2020..

All of these pictures look like surface rust. To see real rust you need to go back to the Tacoma frames from the 90s where the rust went all the way through the frame... Toyota really figured it out by the 1st gen Tundras.
