    Greetings,

I have a 2021 4x2 Crewmax that I love dearly. I tow a 8000lb camping trailer all over Arkansas with no issues BUT, I would like to make some upgrades that would increase power and fuel mileage. I currently have a replacement K&N air filter in the factory box and stick exhaust. I am still running the recommended oil 0w20. What is the best cold air intake and exhaust upgrades

You're probably not going to be able to increase both power and fuel mileage simultaneously. Most people will also tell you that you already have a CAI so changing that to an aftermarket is a waste.

I'm Just up the road from you and pull a big camper as well. Gears would be a good upgrade from the 4.30's to maybe 4.56 or 4.88's. Cheaper for you since you're 2wd. Up next, supercharger. Nothing will truly increase your towing MPG except for better aerodynamics and better driving habits. Tow in S4 with Tow/haul mode. Also, the recommended oil for severe duty like heavy towing is 5w30 I believe.

tow haul and leaving it in S5 i get the best mileage with the trailer hooked up.

The only thing that really is going to increase power and probably mpg is a supercharger.

If the K&N is one you clean and re-oil, it may actually be hurting both your HP and MPG. If you find a way to increase HP and MPG at the same time, please share. And Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)!

Performance wise, you could call up @dirtydeeds and manage to eek some more NA power out. Subforum below has good info. Also has tons of supercharger discussions.

There are companies out there that offer a 5k service that gives you 410-420hp by doing
    • S&B Filters air-intake system
    • American Racing Headers 1.875" primary ID long-tube headers with high-flow catalytic converters
    • OEM Toyota exhaust manifold gaskets
    • HP Tuners or VF Tuner credits
    • Custom dyno calibration

Regear might be cheapest and best option.

And the link below is the Towing and Hauling subforum. Lots of ppl doing similar things to your setup. Good place to see how they solved similar issues.

Agree with the suggestions for @dirtydeeds exhaust and either lower gears or a supercharger. Messing with the intake is a waste of time and money from everything I’ve seen.

Get it asap. Makes the truck easier to drive. You get to actually control the torque and power.

    Too many, but not enough....
Probably dirty deeds exhaust, a tune, gears, tranny cooler, a rear sway bar and/or RAS would be my picks for towing upgrades.

There really is not a way to do what you are asking.

For sure more power with the Supercharger, fit kit and dirty deeds stainless exhaust.

Don’t drive it like an asshole and it will do a skosh better on gasmileage…drive it like an asshole and it will drop to 8-9 mpg.

B/L: The money you spend toward improving performance and improving gas mileage will never be recouped in terms of “savings” you “think” you will realize from all these upgrades.
