Couple of days old but a couple lessons learned from when I slept in the truck…definitely need some kind of mattress pad or a memory foam topper from the guest bed or something….and the ol CPAP is probably going to need to be run off of my boat battery with a 12V adapter…I did catch a decent lil bass on a swimbait as the sun was going down so that was fun.165E14E9-621D-43C1-811F-C423B0CC3EFF.jpg

Nice! Unless the camera perspective is off, looks like a solid 2-3lb'er or so!

Thanks! It wasn’t tiny but it wasn’t some bucketmouthed monster either lol …always hold the fish closer to the camera

the boss left town for a couple days so as soon as I get her kids down for the night (they’re always hers when they’re acting up) I’ll be breaking out the Eagle Rare and hopefully installing the CO headlights I’ve had sitting in the garage for a year and a half…maybe getting around to cutting up that Tacoma grill

Replaced my valve cover gaskets today as well as my sparkplugs. Those bolts were pretty loose when I inspected them but I opted to replace the gasket anyway - 190k miles seemed about time. This was also the first time the sparkplugs have been done on the old beast and my oh my were they looking a little toasty. Took a quick flick of the passenger side with the top off too :D

    IMG_9603.jpg

I think this is the first job I have done on the Tundie without busting a bolt or dropping a never-to-be-seen-again bolt into my engine bay. Thank the lawd.

The only reason it was an "issue" for me is that I don't, or didn't have a venmo. I've got one now that I'm promptly going to forget about

So one thing to keep in mind with the Auxbeam switch panel, is unless you wire it to the ignition that damn backlight can't be turned off. Older ones apparently let you turn it off, but my backlight has an automatic dim.

I didn't wire my auxbeam to the ignition because I wanted it to get power without the key. Sometimes I park places where I don't want that green backlight to light up the cab though, so I put a switch to cut power to the panel in the cab.

I'll have to look at the wiring for it, but I didn't know that. Other than that, you like it?

It's gonna be a minute before I can get to this. I'm sure I'll revisit this like 15 times

So when you kill that switch in the cab, is that just for the panel light or the entire unit, it’s Friday, I hope I explained that right.

kids went down easy without mom around so I went ahead and installed my fancy lights…looks pretty good but the second I took off my passenger side fog light and replaced it with LED they automatically turn on the high beams :( need to do some quick googlizing to find the fix, but that’s a problem for the morning, might get around to adjusting the height of the beams in the near future too, but damn do they look better!

As long as an 06 DC is the same as the older trucks (hard to say for sure) you should just need a single headlight resistor installed in-line on one side and that should line your issues out.

Got the new tires on yesterday. Went from 265/70/17 down to 265/65/17. Doesn't really look much different other than a AT tread vs highway.

Drives like a whole different truck though.

Just swapped these @Archive Garage bump stops for the same ones in +20%. Super pumped to get to run the heavier ones in Sedona.

Does anyone feel like adjusting this thing actually makes a noticeable difference? I keep messing with it and can't say I notice much difference.

Yeah bringing a 12v car battery for the CPAP works well. Just make sure it stays charged otherwise you'll wake up in the middle of the night thinking you're dying lol
