Hello, I am trying to wire up a 12v air compressor (mounting in bed passenger side toward front).

Can anyone point out where the best source is for 12v accessory wire worthy of a 16amp load?

Also, where is the best source for a 12v in the dash for an intermittent toggle switch.

    thanks.

You’ll need to do your own fuse tap or relay. You won’t find an “accessory” circuit that’s directly rated for that kind of load directly, and especially to tap off of and add that load to.

I plan to use a spare slot in the fuse box to get the 12v for the toggle switch.

I then plan to run 10ga wire to the relay for power and ground. The 12v switched signal to the relay will also come from the switched power source from the fuse box.

what is the best route to run the 12v 10gauge wire from the battery to the bed on passenger side?

Follow the factory harness - Through the engine bay behind the engine to the junction box near the passenger firewall, then down along the harness through the corner of the passenger fender well, then along the frame. Run them inside of some smurf tube/wire loom and zip tie everywhere that the main harness is tied to the frame.
