PDM - Add On : "Macro Keys":

While shooting the shit with @KevinK, I had a stupid idea with to create macro/shortcut keys to trigger multiple lights on/off leveraging the SwitchPro SP9100's trigger input wires QTY(2) each controlling up to 4 circuits on the 9100...their 12 gang model has 3 inputs I believe..:

Primary being latched ,allows me to power up/down just as quick:

    • Trail Courtesy...when encountering other trail mates head on, it is nice to concurrently toggle multiple circuits off, to not scorch their retinas. Just as easy to turn them all back on...
    • Middle of nowhere on highway use....quickly toggle on/off lights when you encounter unlit/poorly lit highways...of which there is many around here in AZ...
    • To easily appease the one guy in the group that says "all the lumenz" for photo ops...yet doesn't actually upload the photos to the group's photo dump...*cough cough* @AT x AT
Secondary being momentary, allows me to manually flash lights:
    • Those with SwitchPros and have enabled Strobe/Flash functions, knows that a quick flash isn't the easiest as you inadvertently will trigger Strobe/Flash function on your second press...and then scramble to turn it back off.
    • ability to kill your lights and issue a quick flash, or succession of flashes to communicate with other folks on the trail/highway proves to be invaluable sometimes...

Do you do a schematic for every electrical addition? Ever thought about just flying by the seat of your pants :duh::rofl:

Also, do you have a hdt-48-00? Or you using open barrel DT’s? Need to make a couple connectors and curious which route you went

edit: also, this a great idea. Might do it when I get some downtime..

All my ideas are fly by the seat, i just draft em out quickly before I forget what my idea even was…of which I have many…

I’m an IT solutions architect by profession, so these “schematics” take just a few minutes.

I thought about adding the solid barrel crimp tool to my collection, but I already owned a set of https://www.prowireusa.com/p-3900-metri-pack-280-delphi-56-series-unsealed-crimp-tool.html which works well for 95% of open barrel connectors/terminals on the market, so i saved myself some cash and just elected to use the open barrel terminals. I used to be a professional car hooligan and a proper open barrel connection has yet to fail me.

    Hope that helps!

Also, I didn’t realize SO was a qualified Jason-spec supplier. Guess I can put them down on the to-do list

    Hardly anything big…

raw…shame to cover up the fab work…

Lead time for custom color was 4-6 weeks, asked him what was the next batch of BK08 Satin Black, he said tomorrow…done deal…

I’d rock SO, a lot of people have had great success, but I haven’t seen anyone run these Kibbetech mounts yet, so i figured I’d test em out…

I was going to go with turquoise and add some flake to it, but purple or some other bright obnoxious color just to f with everyone is something I would do.
