    Howdy Everyone,

Anyone have any good ideas how to preserve their fox shocks from corrosion and rust? Is there a thread that already talks about this topic?

I was think about using a ceramic coating designed for wheels. Wash with a neutral soap followed by a spray wax. Would wheel cleaners be too harsh for the shocks

    Any advice would be great!

I’m dealing with this with my kings. Not sure how well that will hold up. My plans to yank it all off and get them cerakoted or steelit coated.

Spray them with Eezox every couple of months.
    https://www.eezox.com/

I hit them with a good coat right after a full wash and right before I hit the trails. Helps keep the mud from caking in places and easier to clean after running trails.
2 years in and my Falcons still look brand new. We have lots of salt and brine on the roads here in the winter.

I used to use Ballistol with the same outcome but it smells like feet and licorice and found Eezox which smells much better.

Interesting. Thank you very much. Will it harm plastics such the wheel liners?

    Nope.
Only material that really does not like it is rubber. Just wipe it off rubber if you spray it on rubber.

    It's good
What is rusting? They are almost all aluminum. My top hat bolts show some, the spherical bushings as well. The rest is dirt. But they are hard to clean with the spring on.

Do you need some sort of spray tool for fluid film or do they sell it in a spray bottle?

If you really want a long term fix and plan to tear down the shocks completely I would strongly recommend Cerakote. Steelit doesn't hold up long term for something like this.
