    Hi all,

I currently have a 2007 Tundra double cab with the 4.7, and I'm looking to sell and buy a crew max with the 5.7. I have found a couple of good contenders:

The first truck is a 2008 Limited, mostly stock with a levelling kit, water pump was done a few years back, frame recall was done too. The owner has had it for 6 years, and has not had issues with the air pump. I'm wondering if the prior owner may have done the air pump bypass kit... Is there an easy way for me to look to see? Truck has 187,000 miles. Regular maintenance has been done.

The second truck is a 2010 Platinum, seems all stock. The owner has only had it for two years, and is unsure about the frame recall or air pump. It has 163,000 miles, and the owner is asking a few thousand dollars more for it.

I'm not too worried about the mileage difference, and ultimately I could install the air pump bypass if it hasn't been done. From what I can tell, it seems like the steering rack in the 08 might be more durable? Any other real difference between the model years / models? I don't really care about the cosmetic differences on the Platinum vs the Limited. Thoughts on whether the '10 is worth the extra few thousand?

    Thanks!
