I accidentally discovered a feature hoping someone can shine some more light on.

When opening my front passenger window the other day, I pulled on the switch and the window rolled down to the half opened position and stopped. If the switch is pulled up and held again, the window will then open to 3/4 position and stop. Seems to do the same with the driver side. I cannot find any literature in the owner's manual that mentions anything about this feature.

The headscrather is that sometimes this is really hard to replicate. That's why I'm looking for more info so I know exactly how it operates and for what purpose.

Try re-programming them. Push and hold the switch in the down position - keep holding for 5 seconds past when it is all the way down. Then repeat this with the up position. Do this 2-3 times.

Well, this is by design I’m sure. It appears to only do this when the weather is hot. Only reason why I’m suspecting this is because I wasn’t able to replicate when it was cooler last night.

For example, it’s roughly about 80 today. When I fully depressed down it would creep the windows, a pull up then would go to half, another to go to 3/4. I’ll see about calling Toyota to ask.
