34" tires installed/TRD lift kit ordered

Finally put my new tires on (Toyo OC AT III, LT275/65/20). Amazing how tires make a truck look so much better. First thing I did this morning was order the TRD lift kit. Haven't been notified yet but hopefully it isn't on backorder. Took some before/after pics.

Notice any differences in acceleration or handling?

Are you worried you might want 35s after lifting it?

 

Thanks. Haven't really noticed any difference in acceleration. The ride is slightly firmer but I'm sure that's due to the stiffer tires. A few days ago I reset my MPG and was getting 20.8mpg with the stock tires and mainly driving state roads around 60-63mph. On my way to work this morning, I noticed it went down to 19.4mpg. Will see if how much it continues to go down. I didn't want to go with too large of a tire because I wanted to make sure it will still fit in my garage after the TRD lift will be installed.

 

Very nice Silver23, I like it. I replaced the original Michelin 265/70R18 tires with a set of Cooper Discoverer ATP II in 275/70R18 and they're so much better all around.

 

Was this on stock suspension?

Brought my truck to the dealer yesterday to get the TRD lift installed. I'm hoping its ready by Thursday.

 

Looks great! Where did you order the lift from and how much is your dealer charging you to install it?

 

ordered from Sparks parts. Dealer told me Toyota says its a 14hr job (@ $105/hr). Mine will be their second install and was told if it goes over 14hrs, then I would not be charged for that. I'm sure the alignment will be a separate cost.

 

And they did tell me they have to remove the fog lights. I'll have to re-install them once I get it home.

 

Okay thank you! Hoping to do mine this summer. What dealer did you have yours done in? I think when I asked at my local dealer they said $120/hr, but if I bought the kit from them it was like $80/hr....but the kit was $4000 from them

 

My dealer is in Louisiana. I doubt you'd want to use them, since your in ID. LOL
