My 08 4.7 got noisy. I crawled under and the flange to flange connection for the exhaust pipes to the cats has rusted away that a new muffler with pipes is not likely to seal well.
    Has anyone dealt with this?
I think new flanges on the cats is the best way to go.

I have the same thing happen to my 2011. I cut off the old flanges( what was left ) and welded on new ones.

Sorry I don’t remember the ones I use off hand. I know it a universal set up and I just use the flange off of it because my pipe was still good. So I just welded the new flange where the old one was on the old exhaust pipe.
