    Hello all,

I bought Goodyear wrangle duratracs from Walmart online shipped to me and I noticed some weird things that I was looking for guidance on what to do next. So first of all the tread pattern is slightly different than a stock duratrac. Second the tires are missing holes for studs which I don’t need so it’s not a huge deal. And lastly on two of the four tires there are red stickers pealed off and on one of them I can make out the letters rejec. The tires were made on the 42 week of 2022 so they are not very old but do you think they are re treads? Or did Goodyear come out with some sort of cheaper tire with a different tread pattern? I was a little skeptical buying them in the first place but they were $80 cheaper per tire so I figured I would try them with Walmarts return policy. Should I return them? Or is there something I am missing and they are probably fine?

The thing that would concern me the most would be the red sticker. I personally would return them just to be safe. Others may have more insight though.

Very interesting. Definitely a different design than mine and the usual duratracs I see. I don’t think these are retreads, for example there are rock ejectors down below the lugs. What are the tire specs, like are these SL (275/65r18?) instead of C/D/E LT? My guess is these may be a unique SL 16/32nds design we don’t see too often. Reject sticker is bizarre too. Also I’ve heard Walmart does special deals with tires, kind of like Les Schwab, where the tire may be specifically for Walmart and different in some way (to save money/be an exclusive).

You're clearly not comfortable w/them (I wouldn't be either); return them and buy from a tire shop/distributor you can trust.
