I could make some wires if someone tells me the specs.

Lol. Nope. Said I'd bring a bunch of wiring, connectors, and tool(s). I'll drop 'em at camp then head out overlanding with @Cruz. Maybe, when we get back Thursday, deez boyz'll have lights and I'll chase 'em 'round the school yard.

But if they spend the days figuring out how to use my spares to power a pneumatic blender, I'll be just as pleased!

Yeah, @DJenerated do you have any spare switches already ran through your firewall into the cab? If you want the chase light wired at T2S, it'll make it easier if you have a switch ready to tap wiring into.

I got something that would make a dandy pneumatic blender.

    Jajajaja.
Ok so maybe sometimes the joke is also me being a dick. Last night my sister stayed the night in the pool house. Which is where I usually hang out on my days off. So I came in the house and said "I left a light on so you can see, in case a homeless person snuck in and is waiting to get you.

My family did not like that joke. I was laughing though.

So I have some switches and some wiring kits with relays and fuses and a cheapo fuse block somewhere in my garage.
I have a switch panel where the sunglass holder goes in the roof console. The only switch currently installed there is for my locker.

Dave, if you can do this, that'd be cool. You could maybe send them to @FrenchToasty because he's most local and last to leave home. Really though, we could do it on site. But if you want to make them, that'd remove barriers for anyone unsure of what to get; plus I'm sure yours would pretty, and you've got a perfect truck as a model, to make sure the wiring runs are long enough to get to the back far-corner (whichever it might be). Let us know if you decide you for sure want to take this on. We don't want to add pressure, as we know you've got a lot going now. However as you've offered, and this is your wheelhouse, it'd be a great contribution if you can make it happen!

edit: here's the link to the lights, with spec' info.

You want it off parking lights? Then just unplug when not wanted? Doable.

what connector does the caliraised pod take? And what is the polarity? 60” is my normal length for stuff like this.

I just added the link to the lights. You'd do better to look at specs on the site than to rely on me to get it right. :anonymous:

As for where to tap in, I guess we'll leave that to you. Most of us are running to a fused relay, so anything with directions you can explain should be gtg.

Blazer. Just a mockup... and a silly one. My 4.0 jeep barely moved enough air to spin an airresearch t04b, the blazers 2.5 wouldnt stand a chance.

Ok this is a little off topic, but is with electricity and our trucks.

Anybody ever figure out how to power the power outlets all the time? It was super easy on my 1gtaco. I just pulled a relay and made a jumper. There were several how-to's available in great detail online. I've yet to ever find anything as simple for our trucks

The Cali-Raised connectors are gone. The lights have crimp connectors per @Vizsla's pics.

Oh, so it’s bare wire out of the pod? Rather than some sort of connector?

these FGT’s have so few switch spots that I figure just connecting directly to the parking light signal and then manually connect when wheeling could work reasonably well. Then it’d be covered by the parking light 15 amp fuse.

#trendsetter. Now I'm gonna have to tell Cesar about this. It'll make his day.
I did it (like an ignorant idiot) by pulling from the stereo power at first (I can already feel @daveeasa and @shifty` cringing) and of course got a horrible buzzing noise from my speakers, so yanked the wires out. I do have the FSM with all the EWD's and will be tackling this within the next week, so I'll let you know what I come up with. No help at the moment tho.
I believe the desire is to leave it connected, using a switch to cut power.

Appreciate the tag but someone else should get them. I’ve got my old fog pods plus a set of baja’s I could use too if I had to.

Just waiting on my fab guy to make me a bracket so I can mount it without doing a bunch of drilling and I will have more rear lighting.
On my truck what I did was cut the old wire off (saved it to power something else off the ignition switch) then ran a new wire to it from the battery with an inline fuse. Works great, doesn’t drain the battery, totally safe with the fuse

Yeah, outside of Switch-Pros or auxbeam, I can’t see a clean universally switch + relay solution for chase lights because we have Jack S for switch blanks.

but parking lights we all have so being able to quickly connect / disconnect at the bumper for wheelin / not wheelin makes some sense to me. Then it’s on w parking lights (while wheelin) or off (when on roads).

outside of that, seems like everyone will do it differently.
