It's easy enough. Just need a T25 bit and a crows foot.

You might want to change that wheel while you're at it...

What is the procedure for aligning (preloading, centering?) the clockspring during install?

    The assembly itself says
    • Point wheels straight ahead
    • Rotate 2.5 turns from left end
    • Align match marks
But, rotate what? If the clockspring gets rotated, the match marks don't align, and the wheels only turn little over 1.5-turns from center.

Clockspring itself has a limit-stop to the right, and increased tension to the left, getting pretty stiff at the 2.5 revolutions.

How did you all go about it?

(The FSM so far is pretty vague, with the classic 'remove, then reinstall' type of instructions)

Edit: Replacement clock spring was faulty. Circuit was all tangled up in there, so that explains the resistance at 3-turns. I would still like to hear the exact steps needed for aligning a good replacement however.

Perfect - Thanks! I was in both the SR and BE sections of the FSM, and neither were this helpful.
