If you're happy with the deal and the truck, that is all that matters. I hope your Ram is badass and serves you well!

You got some pics of it?

Little more to the story. It looks like I’m going to be getting divorced after 33 years. I wanted to lower monthly expenses and have a little money to hide. I’ll probably be dead before this lease is up so why not have one last new one. Been taking enough Ativan that I’m not thinking real straight either

After being issued a Charger with a Hemi and being the absolute biggest piece of garbage imaginable, and seeing the same exact issues through the whole fleet - now extending into the Durangos, I'd never buy a dodge product.

With that said, I hope it treats you well - nothing worse than a crappy vehicle.

I'm sorry man. Marriage is hard. I've had a hard go of it myself this past year and even spent a week at my dad's to experiment how life would be if I went through with divorce. If you feel low, holler at me - no judgment.

I'm sorry man. Ups and downs in life, as always. Things haven't necessarily been great or even good for most everyone lately, but i realize that may not help. Enjoy the truck! The new Rams offer a lot of nice options for the price. I am not entirely convinced any specific brand is any better than the others now as far as reliability.

I wish you the best. Sorry about the divorce. Time heals, and time flies too.

68 and about to be alone for the first time since I can remember. I’m googling if enough Ativan and liquor would be an effective way to end it. Don’t see a very good life ahead of me

Don't do that. Even in shitty days, there is always something good. She may be leaving, but that doesn't mean there aren't people that care. Don't hurt those people.

Chin up, chest out, and be strong. It's not easy, but it is worth it.

Sorry to hear that, I can't imagine what that feels like after 33 years. I hope the new truck serves you well. The Ram has a beautiful interior with a lot of amenities. You should hit the open road and check back in.

Prayers for both of your healing

Sorry to hear about your divorce, but don't give up. I lost my wife to cancer 2 years ago April 4th and I lost my dad 4 months later. Even though I'm hurting, I find a reason every day to go on for those who didn't get a choice in the matter. Ending it is a permanent solution to a temporary problem

Go be a teacher! Being around kids will bring joy into your life and make you feel appreciated. Seeing them grow up and having a positive impact on their future will give you a renowned sense of purpose. Coach your favorite sport, and you'll never watch a game on tv again. Your team and your players will be what's important, and best part about it, everyone from the kids to the parents will appreciate you for it.

68 is young. Gene, all I can say is in my 50 years on earth, I’ve had plenty of ups and down. Some I thought I’d never recover from. The one thing I have learned is that it always works out. Always. And in most cases I’ve looked back and realized I’ve learned and came out better on the other end. Stay strong, stay positive.
If you need to BS about that Ram PM me. I just climbed into one myself.

When we’re in a low place, we never can, especially if we focus on the negative things, which is so easy to do. I know this from my own experience over the past years.

Apples to oranges maybe but in those years, I had a major vehicle wreck, lost part of a finger in a work accident, lost my dad at age 67 after a long battle with cancer, my wife lost her good paying job, I also thought for a while that a divorce was imminent, and my mom is facing some serious health issues… the list goes on. Starting to sound like a country song, right?

During that time, my drinking increased steadily, but it didn’t help. Sure, it numbed the pain temporarily, both physical and emotional, but it really only made things worse for me, and others around me. So last fall, I decided that enough was enough, and that a course correction was needed. I quit completely for 2 months, which had some tough days early on. Since then, I’m allowing myself up to couple drinks per week, but never because I had a bad day or because I’m feeling low, rather, because I feel like enjoying one occasionally. I feel like it’s one of the very best things I’ve ever done for myself, and honestly, I’m amazed how easy it really was to do once I put my mind to it.

Maybe you can relate to some of this, maybe you can’t. But please, don’t give up on life. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness either, quite the opposite.

Pull up and level out. Clear your head and point yourself in a positive direction. You still have time to enjoy life, and there is plenty to enjoy. You just have to want to.

I watched a buddy go through something similar, and he is a much happier man now than he was before.

Hopefully you can do the same.

Satin black roof, 18” KO2’s, satin black powder coated steel rims, tri fold tonneau cover. Led lights interior, exterior. Trd pro grill. 13” ryonnair antenna. OEM LED headlights.
Co worker of mine had a 2019 1500 and now has a 23’ 1500. Both new body style. 19’ was good to him, issues with main screen and the interface took a while to get worked out. He did have to replace the rotary gear selector switch.. $1000 from dealer. They are beautiful trucks and aside from some sheet metal differences in appearance, are the same truck more or less since 2010ish.. similar to Tundra. The usual exhaust manifold leaks will still happen with the hemi, but other than that they’re solid trucks no doubt.

Sorry to the OP, I didn't mean to come off as judgmental, I realize now that you explained your predicament why you had to do what you had to do, and honestly I wasn't meaning to judge you, just was saying an opinion...

I am very sorry you are going through a difficult time in your life, and that it has been so tough that you feel the only way to solve it is through suicide. Not many people understand what it feels like to be in such a deep dark place, a place where dying seems like it is better than living, a place where you feel like you and your life are worthless. All I can say is that I hope, eventually your thoughts of hopeless despair turned into thoughts of a hopeful positive future, before you harmed yourself. I hope you sobered up, and gained the courage to speak to someone, whether it be a friend or a professional... If you haven't already please seek immediate help, whether you call 911, or chose to call a friend or family member, the choice is yours, but it would seem like you need some assistance getting through this.

Wishing you health and happiness in the future

    -T

Dear Op, sorry to hear about the circumstances behind all of this. The internet can be a very negative and positive place and you shouldn’t take anything that anyone here posts with more than a grain of salt. At the end of the day, you’ll enjoy a beautiful new truck at an affordable price and that’s what matters when it comes to a truck. As far as your personal life. I believe all of us here have lost someone we love at some point in life and we’re still here. Try to see that life beyond your relationship is still worth living for. You’re going to find a new opportunity to do things you maybe never had the time or freedom for. You can engage in new hobbies that might lead you to new relationships down the road. You can get out and go adventure in your new truck. I know that’s a lot easier said than done but time does heal and you can find happiness again. Life’s not over just because the relationship is. Start a new chapter for yourself that’s all about you and what will make you happy.

I don’t think you should leave this forum or this community. You’re always welcome regardless of the vehicle you drive. I do think you should also join a dodge or ram forum where you will receive a great deal of positive energy about your new truck. Google search dodge ram forums and take your pick. Bless you friend!
