I have a 2016 Toyota Tundra. It has 66,000 miles on it. I noted recently that the steering was getting difficult to turn. After flushing the power steering and seeing no leaks, I sprayed the lower steering shaft universal joint (just above the rack) with PB blaster as it was rusty. This freed my steering and returned it to normal operating. I know it's only a temporary fix so I am preparing to replace the lower shaft. Has anyone tried replacing just the universal joint in the shaft with a better quality piece? If so, does anyone know a part number that could be used to replace that universal joint?
