Sorry I’ve been off the site for a while as this isn’t a priority for me.

did you ever hear back from pro comp?

I’m still about a month out before I pull the trigger on a decision, really curious to see what you decide to do and how it pans out. I really don’t want to spend more than 5k…

One thing about my situation is I really don’t mind going down height. I’d preferably be at a 3-4in lift overall.

would that be possible with this bracket on the front end without destroying clearance?

definitely do it right. if you want the 3.5 lift just bite the bullet. Maybe check craigslist and FB marketplace for a wrecked truck with the parts you need. You may even find one with a decent 3.5 lift to scavenge.

ProComp was pretty quick to give me the new part number (57047B-2) to fix the issue of their old kit. No offer to send out replacements or help with cost of replacing bad parts. Its been 13 years. I get it. But I also feel like going full Karen and reporting to the NTSB about ProComp having full knowledge of a safety concern and leaving these kits on the road for so long.

I'm not going to spend good money after bad. I bought this truck new, local, with the lift installed. I have broken TRD shocks 4 times. I went to the local Toyota dealer each time, and they fixed it with no trouble and no cost to me. I'm going to see if they will make it right this time ... cuz liability is a bitch. If not. I will probably buy a new cross member or 2, new stock spindles (steering knuckles), and drop it down to near stock with coils. Truck has 90k on it, probably needs UCA and LCA bushings and Ball joints. So Im going to get a aftermarket adjustable UCA anyway.

So you are basically in a similar situation. I'm going to head to a few shops tomorrow to see about removing the bracket and resinatlling the crossmembers and spindles.. Then I'd use the Ironman Foam Cell kit if anything. I'll share my results.

Otherwise if the cost is insane i might just sadly do the rough country option with the repair kit from pro comp and new bushings and ball joints... But something tells me the cost variance will not be that much if I have to do all this just to get it right on this current lift..

    We shall see...

    Well I got exciting news

apparently this bracket is just a bolt on, no welding required and I found a good shop that will reverse all this shit work and install the foam cell iron man kit for 3k with all parts included.. I’m pretty pumped right now

Wont they still have to weld your lower A-arm mounting points back on (New crossmember) ? When they install the bracket lifts the normally cut your factory mounts off.
