I posted this thread about needing a new key - worn down key + dead fob = need a new both
    New problem, new thread:
I have techstream and have been able to make some changes, so the program and all cables are working.
My new key fob - ebay flip key - doesn't want to program.
I tried the diagnostic - if the fob is recognized, the truck will beep and int lights will flash.

The new fob makes the truck beep and flash
The OLD fob makes the truck beep and flash
Neither fobs will lock/unlock the truck
Neither fob will program through techstream

What the fob is going on?!

Did you check how many fobs are currently registered? You may be at the capacity and need to erase some of the fob IDs

I ran into a similar issue trying to program fobs for a friend’s ‘07. It had 4 registered, and I could not erase or replace any using Techstream. I’d get the same diagnostic beeps / flashes too.

They ended up taking it to a locksmith, who was successful in erasing all and programming one of their Non-OEM fobs, but said the 2nd one was faulty. I found that odd as both gave the beep / flash in the diagnostic test.

So should I erase all 3 current remotes and try to reprogram the two I have?
I guess I'm no worse off since neither are working right now.

You could try that, for sure.

Not that this will help, but I bought a G-code flip key from fleebay and moved the existing PCBA from working 2 piece key set to flip key body. Had the key cut and paired to my ecu. No issues.

Both OEM fobs and keys worked fine before moving to a flip key so not the same issue you have.
