It will take me a while to get up in mileage and find out what it can do. I work 3 miles from work. And on the weekend we use the Lexus most of the time. 2020@29k right now.

I work 75 miles away from home. Making that 150 mile daily round trip stacked the miles on pretty quick including personal trips and general errand running. My schedule recently changed though, from Monday- Friday to 7 on and 7 off, so it will be spared so many miles for the rest of the time I own it.

This is why I sold all of our Volvos but one (the oldest toy, sentimental value) and bought us new old V8 Tundra and Sequoia. The most cared Volvo failed everything by 220k miles and cost me $35k in parts (all DIY). The newest one was failing something every week as soon as factory warranty expired. Awesome precision engineering by Volvo...

I smile every time I step into 39k miles Tundra that saw no nothing in 3.5 years. I service it routinely, but this is it. Toyota or any other brand wouldn't lure me into a luxurious interior or whatever, reliability is all I need. Old school rocks!

160k on my 14 with the 4.6. Nothing but regular maintenance. Love the truck more every day. Still runs great despite my abuse.

Engine died at 96,000 miles. Replaced with one at 80k. Hopefully the second one has that "legendary Toyota reliability" I've been hearing about.

Even without maintenance it’d be odd. Maybe a broken valve spring?

    what happened @lamarboards00 ??

I've heard of plenty of other people who have gone insane miles before oil changes. Including a coworker who swears he went over 90k in is Titan before he ever changed the oil.

It would drive like shit if he did that, the drive would be so bad he’d have to get it serviced…..is that what happened here, why service at 90k? haha

Haha, no clue. He did say he added oil when it needed it, just never changed it.

Yeah, always stories out there. Oil just doesn't remain flowable at that mileage. Massive oil leak and adding oil every month, yeah, one could go many miles that way.
