For those on the forum that have the Westcott coil lift AND have a TRD Skid Plate installed....has anyone experienced any "popping" or "creaking" when they turn the steering wheel left and right? Or hear any of the same sounds when the front end is compressed (going over a bump at slow speed)?

I posted on another thread that I was getting really bad popping at full left and right lock...turned out that the TRD plate needed a washer/spacer between the cross member and the inside of the plate (on the 2nd row of bolts). That resolved the really harsh popping noises but it seems like their cousins have shown up now.

Interesting. I'm about to install my Westcott lift after I come back from my Canada trip next week. I also have TRD skid plate. Will be watching this thread in case I have any issues.

No, but the noise isn't present any longer.

I don’t have a Westcott lift but do have a TRD skid plate. Last time I took my truck in to get the oil changed I started hearing a crick sound when I turned sharp and slightly compressed from the front end. At first I thought it was my RC coil overs causing this so I didn’t say anything to my service guy. But my issue with the crick wasn’t coming from the suspension. When they put my skid plate back on they didn’t tighten a bolt up all the way, actually was near cross threaded, loose that the washer was free. I tightened it down and the crick went away. Only reason I looked at it was because my wife kept hearing a rattle and it end up being the washer, tightening it fixed both issues. Only thing I could figure was the frame flexes under those conditions and the skid plate was loose causing the crick.
