Reverse Mirror Tilt Feature, Platinum side mirrors

One of my coworkers has the same truck as I do, a 2018 Platinum CM. When putting my truck in reverse with either right or left selected on the mirror adjustment switch, the mirrors tilt down when I put it in reverse for increased ground visibility. On his, when he puts in in reverse in either right or left switch position, his passenger mirror tilts down like it should. His driver mirror tilts sideways...????.... I can't replicate it with my truck no matter what I do. I think something was assembled wrong at the factory, and can't find any mention of this issue anywhere. So, I'm again turning to this forum where so many seem to know so much about these trucks. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

 

My 2015 doesnt tilt the mirrors when I go in reverse .... but I dont have the mirror switch on left or right either. Damn it I just got comfy and warm and now I have to go out and check.

 

Set the mirror to where you want it while in reverse with the memory function active

 

He should take it back to dealer. My mirrors tilt down like yours.

 

Bringing up old thread ... do pre 18 Platinum trucks have this feature ?? (at work and manual is at home) .. going to have to look this up.
