I wonder if they did that because kids these days are too stupid to remember two different instructions so now all they have to know is turn to the right no matter what.

It's like in my day the following distance used to be 2 seconds in the city and 4 on the highway but now they just say 3 seconds anywhere.

I slept like doo doo and was mad that my CEL came on yesterday. I've narrowed it down to an A/F sensor (oxygen sensor) so it shouldn't be that bad to replace it.

 

Two nights of bad sleep caught up to me last night. Helps we are on the 6th floor and beyond the street noise. Slept great. Having a hard time getting started this morning.

Forgot to mention…crazy how much Mc Call has grown. Although, I haven’t been thru that town in almost 30 years. I am in love with the New Meadows area.

 

It is stupid busy and the older I get the more I hate crowded places.

Boise is my old stomping grounds though, specifically Eagle, but it is even getting to crowded for my liking. I'll go to visit my parents for 3-4 days but that is long enough. How did Boise treat you last night, find a good place to eat? That is one thing they have going for them is their restaurant scene has exploded.

My Mom is from Boise, so I’ve got memories of visiting my grandparents going back to the 80’s. My cousins here tell me stories of how Eagle used to be BFE and now it’s all a giant suburban sprawl zoo. Heck, my coworker that just retired is originally from the area and told me stories of grabbing his shotgun after high school and going bird hunting in Eagle. So I feel you…

I know the area is struggling with the growth the past 20 years…especially since 2020. Loved the road sign at a local tile company. “Don’t change Idaho, let Idaho change you.”

Setting those memories aside, I love downtown Boise. Open, clean, busy and just a great all-around energy. We ate at Fork last night….amazing dinner. Raining now, so I think our campus tour will be a little wet. But such is life.

 

I crashed! Got 9+ hours last night, getting back on track for day shift.

 

Hopefully you don't have any anti-poaching language in your current job's contract/handbook... my former/current boss can tell you how much fun that can be.

Went to bed early. Felt kinda sick with mild head cold symptoms, and mild throat irritation. Feel the same this morning but now with a headache as well. I don't have time to be sick right now. I have stuff I need to get done.
