    Hey guys,
I search everywhere but no luck.
If anyone have access to a Toyota parts , can you confirm that the Hybrid diff is iddentical to none hybrid ?
I was looking on IMUD forum and JOWETT mentioend that the Torsen on the LX600 is available now. I assume that, there is no difference between the LC300, LX600 and the Tundra differential , all been 3.31 ratio.
Just want to confirm that the hybrid is not different due the temporary increase in torque.

    Thank you

I watched a video recently on a guy discussing the hybrid and I could have swore that the differential was bigger on hybrid . Let me find the video and you can look through it

Well I skimmed through the video again and didn’t see anything about the rear diff . It could still be in there

    Yea,
I heard somewhere as well that the Hybrid may be a little bigger but I don’t understand what it means bigger. Physically may have a ticker material ?
The gear ratio is the same over entire line.

It is larger, go to Toyotas site and it should be on there. It’s been listed out in all the marketing materials and press releases. The hybrids have a lower clearance as well due to the larger pumpkin

The hybrid has a 10.5” rear end and the nonhybrid has a 9.5” rear end.
From my understanding, the LX torsen is the center differential which Tundra does not have.

The LX600 Sport have a Torsen limited in the rear as well.
Thank you for the response guys.

This is an old thread but was curious how our 9.5 rear end compares to the ford Ecoboost 3.5. From my search looks like a 3.5 Ecoboost on 3.73s has a 9.75 rear end? If the extra 50hp and 100tq of the hybrid justified increasing the size of the rear end to a 10.5”, I’m assuming there is not much headroom on increasing HP with on a non-hybrid (say installing a JB4)? What is everyone’s thoughts? Or is this normal Toyota over engineering? If I recall the gen 2 had a 10.5” rear end as well.
