Toyota said I need rotors and pads. $1250. Yeah right! So I'm thinking the rockauto power stop kit. I like the drilled and slotted and I like the price, but quality matters. Any help is much appreciated.

After my stock brakes started to shimmy I replaced them with stop tech cryo treated slotted rotors and hawk lts pads. The hawk pads were kind of noisy so I swapped them for Akebono and they are quiet and have good stopping power. No more wheel shimmy.

Just realized you're 1st gen. Not sure if they make them for 1st gen.

Lots of the 1st gen guys seem to like Akebono pads. But many have encountered issues with a lot of brands of drums and rotors being out of round. Never heard issues with Powerstop, but I’d probably still go OEM, considering you can probably get it cheaper direct from Toyota using the info in the sticky thread at the top of each generational forum.
