It's the automatic parking brake as Jacso1 mentioned. You'll notice every time you put it in "Park" it will engage and the light will appear on the dash. You're all good. :)

You got concerns or questions just ask, save yourself the stress, someone here will have the answer. I'm new to the Tundra forums since my 22, best community around, a lot of people with real knowledge.

Thanks man! Definitely an awesome community to be a part of and a ton of knowledge. I feel like a dumba$$ for not knowing that. My mind definitely went to the worst unfortunately

Not sure if you want that feature but you can turn it off if you want. Then you would apply it manually if needed just like a traditional emergency brake by using the button in front of the gear shift lever.

Thinking I may actually turn it off. Is there a benefit really to having it on?

I park on a fairly steep driveway. Nice to have on auto-engage for that.
