23 Tundra Noise

Anyone know what this noise is at the beginning and end of this video. Sorry the little one is chatting it up for a second or two at the very beginning.

I hear a little girl then an electronic ebrake

 

It's the automatic parking brake as Jacso1 mentioned. You'll notice every time you put it in "Park" it will engage and the light will appear on the dash. You're all good.

Thanks man! Definitely an awesome community to be a part of and a ton of knowledge. I feel like a dumba$$ for not knowing that. My mind definitely went to the worst unfortunately

 

Not sure if you want that feature but you can turn it off if you want. Then you would apply it manually if needed just like a traditional emergency brake by using the button in front of the gear shift lever.

 

Thinking I may actually turn it off. Is there a benefit really to having it on?

 

Only one benefitting is Toyota, in points towards their safety rating

 

I park on a fairly steep driveway. Nice to have on auto-engage for that.
