I have a 2006 SR5 4.7 tundra, with a 2” lift. I bought it 2 years ago. I love this truck and the power. My now ex decided we needed to replace the whole suspension and brake system, front and back. Now im on my own and am seeing and dealing with what wasnt fixed correctly. Right now its my brakes. This happened once before and i thought i had fixed it after purchasing a new ABS unit, but it has started again. i will try to explain what it is acting like. Pushing on the brake pedal every thing seems fine until just about the end and its like hitting a void and then it kinda sounds like a “sproing”sound or a spring being pulled tight or metal gears skipping, at that point i have to quickly pump the brakes to be able to stop. Ive bled the lines and only found one bubble in the front right, checked the master cylinder and the pedal stays. My parking brake however will not stay in adjustment so i hadnt been using it, until last week and thats when my brake problems began. Is this a coincidence or could this be the reason? I am still learning all this, but any idea why the parking brake wont stay adjusted? Any good helpful advise is greatly appreciated

Well thanks to a post i read on this site i may have found my problem or at least part if it. The springs on the parking brake adjuster on the right side are all stretched out so it basically isnt doing much. Hopefully i can purchase just the springs and see if that changes anything
