Prepped my existing rack. Raised it up to clear the cab and antenna. Had to pretty much take all the fasteners off and realign. I had an Erector set as a kid. Easy peasy. Adult Erector set. Ha! I'm freaking tired.

Next up.....NISMO suspension on order. Not cheap but quite decent. Finally available. Slow build but will be kicking ass soon enough.

I prefer my KC C3's mounted atop the rack. Not going to bother with ditch lights. No need.

Tuwa Pro Shiprock rack is now complete. Quite beefy. My bed extender clears by just enough. Tuwa Pro G-Canyon roof rack arrives tomorrow. My Nismo suspension is on back order status. Might be iffy getting it anytime soon.

Bought a 10' Superstrut. Cut off 4' and attached it to where the Nissan Utili-track would go at the front of the bed. Easy peasy. Saved some $ there. The left over strut will go across the center of my Tuwa Pro rack by the cab.

My dealer informed me that my rear NISMO shocks are on the way. No longer back ordered. Still waiting for the NISMO fronts to come out.

I picked up my NISMO Bilstein resi's yesterday and assembled them today. I ordered some shock boots. 20230322_162234.jpg These are quite nice! I have on order a set of forged NISMO UCA's from my dealer. Those were $750. Z1 Offroad has the fully assembled NISMO front coilovers for $1300 a pair. Dealer can get them on back order. Tuned Bilstein 6112's with heavy duty coils. Hmmmm......

This is why I bought the SV. Similar to the Yota SR5. The Pro4-X has the locker, full skids and shocks which are Bilstein 4600's like you get with the TRD package. A locker would be great but I can trick out my SV with a better suspension for a lot less compared to the Pro4-X. I could add a locker but quite frankly not needed. Would be nice to have of course! I can get full skids from Hefty Fab.

How many miles are on your truck? Any issues? Im thinking about down sizing and I really like the new frontiers. The Tundra just sucks in traffic and parking, I’d prefer a smaller truck/better gas mileage.

13K+ with no issues. No regrets. Plenty of hp. Transmission is smooth and crisp. A coworker asked me the same thing today. His dad finally traded his 2019 Tacoma. I asked why. 3 things...transmission, transmission, and transmission. His dad travels a lot camping and fishing. Towing apparently was his nemesis. I read too many first hand accounts concerning this transmission problem. That's why I passed on owning a Taco again. The Frontier is stout as hell. Quiet. Great zero gravity seats. Much more comfortable to sit in when driving long distances than my 09 Taco. My left arm would go dead after awhile driving it. BTW....plenty of aftermarket upgrades out there too, contrary to popular belief. NISMO goodies are finally coming out now. Worth the wait....:mudding:

About 4K on mine. I did this exact thing, downsized from tundra to frontier. I’ve been very pleased with it. Based on a few owners on clubfrontier, the 2023 models have had a mid-year change, including the addition of auto start stop along with a button to toggle it.

I'm pretty much hitting the published numbers most of the time. Mpg's have never been a concern for me though.

NISMO rears on. They are tuned resi 5160's. I'm not planning on adding any weight to the front so I decided to go with the popular Bilstein 5100's. Going to set them at +0.5" to start with. I've got a shop that will swap out the OEM shocks and re-assemble everything.

Love those tools boxes, such a great system.

How does the billiebar tailgate cover line up height wise with the bed? I was eyeing one myself.

Not my tool boxes, although I have some. The pic is from BillieBar's site. As far as height, it looks to be slightly lower to not interfere with a tonneau. Not a big deal since I'm done with tonneau's. FYI.....my cover is on the way. Will be here Friday!

I've become a big fan of Z1 Offroad which was spun off from Z1 Motorsports in 2019. Z1 Offroad tested several CAI's on the same day, same conditions, same dyno, same Frontier a few years ago. They saw some good and some mostly bad. "We can do this right". Z1 decided to come up with their own air induction for the new Frontier. The dyno test was a game changer for me. Z1 nailed it. Whp gain was decent at 2500 rpm and peaked at 10 whp around 5700 rpm. More importantly...torque gain results were up & flat across the chart. 5 to 10 ft lbs! What I was looking for. Impressive. Bought it. https://www.z1offroad.com/z1-products/z1-off-road/2022-frontier-cold-air-intake-by-z1-off-road-p-28719.html?list_name=CategoryAirIntakeSystems&oid=28719:1:83425:49&qid=7abaa4681033efcacb8449ef97e802fa[IMG]

BillieBars tailgate cover on. Took two sips of beer to install. Well made. Marine grade super hi density anti slip deck "foam" for lack of a better word. Gives way just enough to be easy on my knees. Backed by 1/8" aluminum. Quite pleased and I helped a small business at the same time.
