Oil Leak - what part is this?

    Hi, I have a small oil leak, can anyone tell me what part this is coming from, see pictures

    Is it red? It looks red from the 1st angle. I would assume it's probably transmission or power steering fluid.

    The second picture looks more like motor oil, may be residue from a previous oil change where whoever did it didn't drain all the filter from oil and when the filter was removed it came with a wave of additional oil, and splashed in random places. What makes me rethink this is that its coming from the rear of the filter casing which can incriminate either a timing cover leak or oil pump leak... But I have my doubts.

    I had my oil changed at NTB, they used an after market oil filter cap and this was leaking according to Toyota dealer. New OEM cap and the leak stoped. That was a very expensive oil change :(

    Did they break the original housing and not tell you they replaced it?

    Correct, and they did not inform me, that's not cool. My younger self would have confronted them, but I have mellowed and have let it slide.
