So, I'm that A-hole that cut the factory harness. I have a 2004 SR5 and the factory amp had blown, I was pissed off and drunk, seemed like the thing to do. So I currently have no amp connected to the door speakers, incidentally my sub still works, I rewired everything added a new head unit, Kenwood DMX 7709S, and nothing from the speakers....well almost nothing. If I turn it all the way up and turn off my sub, I can kind of hear something. I checked all the fuses, generated tone to make sure each speaker was still connected and I get nothing. I need music in my truck and can't afford to pay someone to work on it. So please dumb down any responses as much as possible. Thanks

Did you bypass the amp? There’s a harness you can buy to skip the amp and use the head units built in power for the speakers. More info on how you have your setup wired now would help

The amp was blown actually. So I had removed it completely. But as an update as well, instead of continuing to try and run the rca's like I had with my previous unit. I just wired the whole thing in and now the speakers work just fine.
