Designed and created by a dear friend of mine… both have custom Kydex sheaths. The Defensive Slasher on the left had a blood groove ground in the center length of blade before it was given to me..
Have many boughten mass produced knives for many different situations and occasions. I decide which knife I carry like deciding which shoes to wear and what surroundings I anticipate.

For a folder that clips into my front pocket, I like spyderco the best. Not really the best steel, but easy to open and nice rounded corners and edges.

How have they failed you? I have broken a blade once and the steel definitely dulls quickly, but I carried and used them for decades because of the convenience.

I’ve definitely thought about it but it would require an interested buyer first.7825D299-AA1D-42BF-B086-869F1EE401E9.jpg4C6E9F58-5956-4F05-AD42-174AD25689F5.jpg

Their older stuff is definitely better, but that is almost true for majority of brands. 2 years ago I bought their Skeletool to have a smaller variety of options but it could be carried via pocket clip (high reason I bought it). In general it has worked well, but it has the least useful pocket clip I've ever owned. As in, it doesn't stay clipped to your pants. Multiple times it would slide out while I was driving and I wouldn't notice until I needed the knife, I also had it fall out of my pants just about every evening when changing. Its still carried in my day pack, but it was dissapointing since that was the main reason I bought the Skeletool. Otherwise they aren't bad, you have to sharpen them more often then some other knifes but they are still useful. I still like the brand but its not as strong as it used to be. I guess my post you quoted is an over simplification since I would still buy from them.
