Seatbelt Chime Solution

I have been searching for weeks on a good way to disable this with a good solution besides taking to dealer, using a dummy clip, trying to get the software running, pulling springs, etc.

The easiest and most simple solution I found was to take a magnet and put it on the bottom part of the buckle on the side nearest the center console. The one I used stayed in place without any adhesive or anything. Annoying seatbelt chime is gone and I can still use my seatbelt.

 

How strong of a magnet are we talking here

 

If you ever want to do it the easiest way via software just buy this. Plug into obd2 port and less than 5 mins you can have it paired and turned off.

If you search Amazon for Techstream you can get hacked software and an OBD connector to let you change lots of settings (including seatbelt chimes), program keys, diagnostics, etc. Requires a Windows laptop but it does a lot and anybody who does any tinkering should have it.
