Being a totally new truck, new design, I have been curious and waiting to see an actual off road test between the 3.0 Gen Tundra and older 2.5 Tundra. I think that the Triple Tech Frame and Ground Clearance on the 2.5 Gen is a big advantage, Until that comparison is made we do now have the RTI flex test results for both generations.

    Ramp Travel Index
Ramp travel index or RTI, is a way of measuring a vehicle's ability to flex its suspension, a property also known as axle articulation. The RTI rating is used mainly in the off-roading industry to test and describe chassis limits of modified vehicles.
