I've been down in Baja for a few months now and when I got out of my 04 Tundra I saw this cable hanging down behind the rear driver side mud flap. Looks like it's off the tow package. Anybody know what this is? I can't find where it was severed from?

It doesn't look like a fresh cut from what I can tell by the picture.

The fact it is wrapped in a nice round type rubber coating makes me think it is not factory but added on aftermarket. That and it being electrical tapped to the factory loom and spliced into the factory wiring.

All of the harnesses Toyota makes have a "professional" looking plastic loom. Visually this does not match that.

Also seem like it is running toward the rear trailer hitch. Most likely something added like this photo for trailer wiring to a 5th wheel in the middle of the bed or something.

5th wheel on a ‘04? Tell me it’s got the 5VZFE engine also!

    Thanks all. Hope the previous owners didn't pull a 5th wheel. Engine is a 4.7L V8. I don't think that's the 5VZFE but I don't know much.
