    Too many mods to come

Nice! The routing took me a few tries to get it to my liking and making sure it all clears everything.

    Spit balling idea

anyone ever use a relay with an add a fuse power source?

low amp application (less than 5A) but would like to have it use a separate switch

    dumb or nah?

what are you trying to do? Something that little pull could probably go with a simply switch in line.

Just some marker lights. Actual pull is about or less than 1A

honestly if I were doing it, I’d run the switch in line.

I’m sure others will not agree, but to each their own. It’s probably what a few LEDs..

I’m with you. That has crossed my mind due to low voltage and doubt it would hurt anything.
I have seen light bars done this way and melted switches but that was a significant higher draw.

I’ll sit with it for a bit. I’m sure either way will be fine. Maybe just over thinking it. I’ve only just done one or the other, but logically and technically would work as a stand alone solution

if you helps your decision, I have running board courtesy lights, rear bumper courtesy lights and front/rear footwell lights all run off of the OEM wiring.

    just a fuse, no relay.

Is this the SDHQ kit or another brand?

I like the idea of the intake relocate, but the kit costs are insane for some fittings, hose, band clamp and a K&N filter.

Most of the push button switches are good to at least 3 amps, and the small rockers are usually even higher. I’m sure you’ll be fine without a relay.

Actually, if you’re sitting in my drivers seat, all of those are just right below the windshield. Doesn’t impair my view of the road at all.

It’s sort of angled if I were to try to explain it.

It probably pokes above just a tad bit.

Yeah it might be; I did take the photo straight on so maybe that’s why.

But, most likely will be utilized like that if I’m going off roading. I may try another set up, but with the column shifter, it may be in the way.

That's what I've thought whenever I see these dash mount setups. But then I realized how much of the hood I see compared to these angles and how much room there could be to mount stuff without obstructing my view.

I was deciding on upgrading to some tow mirrors preferably by Boost Auto Parts: best design, features and all. My truck is base SR5 and did not come with turn signals on the side mirrors. I believe only the Platinum and Limited came equipped. Yes, you can route and tap into your signal lights but I didn't want to pull my door panel out and route it thru the rubber tube - it's just time consuming. After selecting all the features I wanted, and color match to the truck, was gonna cost $800. Paint match not included. A bit pricey for tow mirrors.

So, I decided to try this brand: Installation looked easy online, but it was a struggle for me and finally figure it out after a couple of tries. Broke some tabs, but I ended up using some double back adhesive tape to hold the mirror onto the OEM plastic mount. From there, I was able to mount it back onto the truck. Both came out to $230 after tax and shipping. This will work for now.

    Hell yeah. Doom lights, baby.

Also, what are those head rests on your back seat? I’ve got a tall little guy who hates his booster seat and if those are for tall little guys who hate booster seats, I’m interested. Thanks in advance for any info!

For the 1794 it was an option. "Chrome Power Heated Auto Dimming Side Mirrors w/Power Folding and Turn Signal Indicator". First time noticing the auto-dimming I thought some lights went out around me. Took me a moment.

No, if you read back a bit there was info given by @reywcms that I used as a guide to order my parts. The cost was under half of the SDHQ kit

All tundras have the wiring for a turn signal already wired to the mirror harness. You just need a mirror with an indicator and your turn signal will work without any wiring changes.

Edit: by this, I mean the harness in the truck. I do not know if the harness in the mirror assembly has a wire in it for a turn where you could replace the glass. But if you buy mirrors that have turn signals in the glass, you just need to connect the mirror harness to the truck and they should work.

So pretty when new! I had mine done again recently after being rear ended and getting new bedside/tailgate. And then I promptly beat it up and made it not pretty in a few months.

You will get minor fading after several years but it's hard to notice. It's definitely a better product than the standard Line-X. My bed, flares, and both bumpers are all done in Premium.
