All four of my stock 20” Bridgestone Dueller tires looks this way. They have 29,000 miles on them. I was hoping to get another year but the cracks cause me some concern. Should I keep running them?

    What’s wrong with stock?
They look a bit dry rotted. Never had them look that way on a car or truck. I have had them dry rot like this on the camper and boat. That led to a massive blowout that shredded the tire when the heated up on a 2 hour trip. 5 to 6 years max and then change them. Check the date code on tire itself.

    I'd send em.

The only time I'd leave em be is if the cracks were on the sidewalls.

Our 4runner had some maybe 6 year old BFGs that we rode pretty hard aired down off road, the reason I ended up replacing them is because the cracks in the thread started leaking air and got tired of discount tire saying they couldn’t find the leaks. One day I soaped them all down with refrigerant soap bubbles, and in the morning two of them had huge foam blobs on the tread from the micro leaks in the rubber.

The Bridgestone Duellers on my stock 19 were terrible.

Replace them. Not worth the risk.

Yeah the OEM Toyota duellers use a different compound than if you bought them directly, which is much softer. It’s unusual for them to last 30k miles from what I have seen. Those look close to 4/32nds left anyways so would replace from a braking/safety perspective, new in that design was only 11/32nds which is not much for a truck tire.

Tires are $900 a set if you don't buy anything special. At least run them until November, is my vote.

That look is why I replaced my 2016 Challenger RT's tires. 30k in 5 years and the dry rot set in. Progressed farther than yours. Was starting to creep just a bit onto the sidewall and bad enough that a shop pointed it out and said no later than next change at the longest. If the tires don't turn enough to keep the oils on the rubber circulating through it keeping it healthy this happens. You're buying tires no later than every 5-6 years whether you do 15k per year or 5.

Your car and your safety but I personally would call that the "time to start shopping and researching" level of dry rot and not necessarily the "Immediately run to your tire guy and tell him to put on whatever he has in stock" level.

It seems to be a real toss up in my mind. The truck is a 2020 but I will check the manufacturer date.

I’ve never had a set of tires do this.

    Alot of them
The tires could have been sitting in the supply chain for a while. I doubt warranty will cover them but it doesn't hurt to ask. They may pro-rate them.
