He didn’t mention anything about that being loose. They did say specifically the LBJs and LCAs looked good. Also they ruled out wheel bearing as they were also checked.

It’s probably been most pronounced at 40ish miles an hour. I haven’t driven much on the highway but I don’t think you hear it at those speeds. Consistently happens and has a rubbing type of sound paired with the shoo shoo shoo or light whooshing sound.

I'm sure that noise probably rings a bell for someone, but I'd also be skeptical of the mechanic saying they checked if he didn't even notice the issue with the LBJ

Sorry if I asked this before, but does the noise stop if you engage 4HI when the shoo shoo shoo is happening?

Could the noise be the dust shield or a little something wedged behind it? Some of the worst noise I’ve had is from that, doesn’t take much bending to make it lightly contact the rotor.

Looks like other parts under there are aftermarket (sway bar link, tie rods, OEM don’t have zerks), might indicate they were likely to use aftermarket LBJs.

Have you looked up your VIN on Toyota’s site? Might show if there are any open recalls, could have some maintenance history as well.
