Driving down I-40 and a rock takes out my sunroof. Less than 3000 miles on the truck. Took a while to get a Toyota replacement but eventually got it replaced. I have some minor damage and scratches from broken glass. I see a, what appears to be, a cut in the gasket near the back of the sunroof towards the bed. But I'm not sure if it is there for a purpose i.e. ventilation. Can someone with a sunroof, non damaged, verify if you have a cut/slit in your gasket.

    Thanks

Can you post a pic of what you have, I don’t see anything you describe.

Along the back is a harder plastic piece with no cuts or slits in it. The sides have the rubber pieces also no cuts or slits. If you have a picture of the cut I can confirm more

In know... stummped me. If it was a little more off center. But looks like I need to get it replaced. The repair saga continues.
