    Billies are in.

If anyone was taking bets on how long it'd take, sorry if you lost. I forgot how much I hate KYB shocks, or any other shock with flats in a spot you can't get an IH on.

Meh, any time I wipe up oil with a rag, I rub it into metal. That's why it's so dingy on the sides. All the diff fluid swappage has it nice and shiny again.

    It's good.

The passenger side actually has a slow leak. I just refuse to pull it, plug it, reinstall it knowing I'm getting new tires soon.

Haven't installed them yet, but I finally found a set of my dream Tundra wheels. Just got home from buying them off Marketplace. Going to refurbish them myself.

There's some minor scratches and a small section of curb rash. Going to order new BBS center caps for them too. Basically going to pressure wash, sand with some high grit to smooth out the blemishes, then shoot some paint and a few coats of clear. I want these to look new.

    Sand and paint? What color?
I feel like that might highlight the blemishes more, depending on the color?

20+ years of brake dust and road grime gone. Need to get the old baked on wheel weight adhesive off.

Adhesive will come off pretty easy with plastic flat razors if you have them. Else Turtle Wax has an adhesive/sticker/label remover that works really well.

Is that just straight up pressure washer to take that junk off? What degree angle tip did you use? I'd never thought about using a pressure washer for that.

Used the Tundra to haul some new buddies. In a snowstorm. Bombed through 6” of snow on the roads, drivers, the whole deal.

    Hello,
I couldn't find it on the forum, so I thought I'd just ask here.

Anyone just use an M10x1.25 bolt to attach the catalytic converter to the manifold? It uses studs and nuts from the factory, with the manifold holes being threaded, so I thought, "hey, why not just use a bolt to attach the converter". Anyone done this? Any reason why not to?

Just curious if anyone has done it, any issues, etc.

    Thanks

Used a janky Harbor Freight 1750psi electric pressure washer for the bulk, Purple Power, drill brush, and blue scotch brite pads for the detail. Tried a plastic scraper as well but it's stubborn. I'll give that Turtle Wax stuff a try. Need to get some polish from the parts store anyways.

we’re just getting into it, but the wife has plans to milk them. I suppose we’ll try eating one eventually and see how that goes. I love lamb, so if it’s anything like that we’ll be in business.

Greased my shaft today. No luck with those dumb 4WD zerks.

The only thing I'm slightly nervous about with my truck and a 2,000 mile drive is that one of the inner tie rod bellows has a minor leak. The weird thing is that instead of coming out red it's brown. Is that normal? I would have thought it would be the same color as my power steering fluid (ATF).

    Would you guys send it?

Probably just dirt/dirty making it brown.

Is it from a tear in the bellow itself? If yes, is it possible to spin the bellow 180° so the torn part is facing up, and send it?

Maybe my eyes suck and it's not coming from the bellow, it's your rack leaking into the bellow. I can't tell from your pic what's going on.

There is a tiny tear in the bellow from when we removed the cam bolt a few weeks ago. I'll see if I can rotate it. Good idea. It was hard to get good lighting for the picture. I assume the rack itself is leaking into the bellow ever so slightly. Honestly, the bellow has been "wet" the entire 6 years I've owned the truck but this is the first time I've noticed an actual drip. I guess because I made that tiny tear.
