I love my 2022 Tundra. I have had zero problems and the build quality seems great. But.....that front end is awful

To each their own I guess. I think it looks aggressive and unique. Can’t wait till mine arrives next month!

Asides from the no color match options on a lot of trims that you would want that, the omission of tow hooks, and the dim cab lighting at night I really like this truck. Never gonna appease everyone with looks.

I like the front end of the higher trims, lower trims......not at all.

I am opposite. Higher trims with chrome would be a no buy.

That's why I got the platinum. I don't have chrome anywhere on my truck, except the lug nuts.

New towing question: I will be towing the largest available U-Haul covered trailer from the mountains in Colorado to Northern Wisconsin. The total weight of the load will be close to 2500 lbs. I have a 2022 Tundra SR5 Double Cab, TRD 4X4 Off Road. Reviewing the info on pages 206-209 of my user manual I note that I have the Tow/Haul switch, etc. For the first hour of travel, I have to negotiate steep declines coming out of the mountains with extremely tight curves. We are talking about 5-7% downhill grades. Now, most of my pickups have been manual transmissions so adjusting the gearing going downhill with a load was fairly simple. I have reviewed the manual about the S Mode shift ranges and I think this will address my downhill control. What I don't know is should or can I use the Tow/Haul, Tow+ at the same time that I am operating in S Mode? Thx.

There's not a new fullsize truck on the road that doesn't have a massive grille anymore. I don't know where the trend started, but they can calm down now.

First time I saw it , which was 90 days after I ordered my truck....I was horrified. Now I like it. Think certain trims make it look good but lots of them make it look like a moustache around a gaping hole

I love the front end. The rest of the body looks like a F-150sierra-rado.

I always thought that the grill design was really nice looking. The tailgate, rear bumper, and and tail lights though? That's just a tragedy.

The regular SR5 and the SR5 sport are lower trims and the grill surround is color matched, which looks the best by a mile.

Clearly something weird is going on with your grill. I’m not sure you can even see out of the windshield over the top of that?

mine looks much more normal and awesome.

To each their own. I personally don't like the look of the horizontal, chunky, black plastic strips making up the grill. Some people do, and that's great. The color matched surround isn't that bad, but I prefer the look of the surround against the MGM on my platinum.

You'll be fine in just Tow/Haul mode. I've towed a 4,000lb camper trailer behind mine on mountain roads in California and barely feel it back there.

I was told it started when lawmakers mandated that newer vehicles have more crunch zone space between the front bumper / grill and the first piece of permanently affixed metal object. This forced new models, once reimagined, to have the larger nose.

I like it because the larger grill is for the additional radiators to keep the turbos cooler. I'm not an engineer but have read that the the main failure of turbos is overheating, so it makes sense to me.

The only thing I'd like to see is the matching body color between the grill and front bumper, and option to get rid of chrome on the options. The mustache should be body color matched anyway.

As it is now you have to wrap or paint some of the trim. Although all about perspective. I was already planning to get a "Sport" package look and had the chrome bumpers and grill on my last truck that I didn't like. Although, who knows, when we see more of the Tundras out on the road the chrome trim may look good? IDK, I just want a truck I like this time and not take chances or have wrap peeling off or paint fading.
