Does anyone know what the limits would be for mounting height for the main speaker and the tweeter? I want to keep the stock look and would prefer to not surface mount anything.

Been searching for a bit and have read through a lot, but I'm still kind of lost. I'm trying to get a better idea what speakers I can fit in the factory locations. I've spent hours going through options on Crutchfield but I also keep coming across people who have speakers in factory locations that Crutchfield says won't fit...

I could be way off but I'm under the impression that I can cut the speakers out of the factory mounting which may let me fit larger speakers (like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNUlcA_CLPI)

To give you an idea of what I'm trying to say:
I'm willing to go way overboard and would probably go with Audiofrog GS series if I could fit them. Crutchfield lists the mounting height as 0.65" but says the truck can only fit 0.334" with adapters.

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_898GS10/Audiofrog-GS10.html Tweeter
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_898GS610C/Audiofrog-GS610C.html Crossover

Alpine R2 S65c would fit according to Alpine's site, but Crutchfield says they won't fit because of the mounting height again (0.48").

I know there's a guy that fit JBL Club 602c in the fronts which Crutchfield lists as 0.47" mounting height.

Beyond all that, here's the full plan if anyone wants to give more input:
    JL Audio stealthbox (have it)
JL Audio HD900/5 (can go another route, I'd consider an audiofrog 4 channel and sub amp if the audiofrog speakers fit, or anything else that is comparable)
    Components in front doors
    Coaxial in rear doors
Kenwood 1037/1057 (leaning towards this over an Alpine Halo 9)

Plan to throw down some sound deadening while it's all apart and run the speaker wiring.

Thanks for any input or advice.

Curious what you ended up going with.

Meant to update this but apparently didn't get to it.

Sony XS-162ES for the front. It was tight but the tweeters fit in the stock location. I used the method in the video above to cut out the stock speakers and mount the new speakers into the stock framing/housing. I also trimmed the interior of the door panel very slightly to try and ensure the panels would sit tightly. I added a lot of sound deadening that may have made it tighter that it would have normally been. Crossovers also fit inside the door panels.

Sony XS-160ES for the rear speakers. Fit without issue.

Sony XM-5ES for the amp, I stuck it under the passenger seat. I had a lot of trouble figuring out an amp and where I could put it... I ended up pulling the ac/heat vents that run under the carpet into the rear floorboard but the amp could have fit with them in place. I would have preferred to get the amp into the storage under the rear seats or behind the rear seat but just couldn't make it work.

Kenwood DMX1057XR headunit (10 inch touchscreen) with a Kenwood HD camera to the the rear. First unit I got had issues with random crashing/restarting but got it swapped out easily. I got the unit from Custom Sounds & Tint and would recommend them all day long despite the first unit having issues (seems to be happening with some of the larger Kenwood units from the searches I did). Customer service was better than I could have hoped for. I picked up a screen cover/protector that helps with fingerprints and would recommend that also.

JL Audio stealthbox for the sub. They show as unavailable or out of stock most places but you can get it from JL Audio's ebay store. Make sure you put sound deadening in the remaining console otherwise it'll be one of the main rattle points.

KnuKonceptz wiring and connectors. Probably not necessary but I figured if I was going this far, why not make sure the wiring and connectors weren't the weak point of the system.

I think that covers it but if I'm missing something obvious let me know. I did sound deadening along the floor pan and in the doors. I ended up going with cheaper Amazon deadening but did a layer of both butyl mat and foam. Overall I'm very happy with it... the truck is way quieter than it was, the sound quality is great, and the volume gets up although I don't really blast my music. Wireless carplay works great and the 10 inch screen fits in the dash pretty well - just inside the vents and doesn't block any of the buttons or controls. It all looks stock with the exception of the screen.
