    Alright guys,

Had a build thread in tacomaworld a few years back and jumped into this tundra after a duramax absolutely broke my heart.

I’ve got a 2021 Army Green 4x4 Crewmax Sport. Bought it with 45k on dash and virtually spotless.

Inspiration is the movie “Fury”, but the resemblance to Masterchief from Halo is not lost on me.

    How she sits now:

    Add ons:
    - Icon Stage 2 AAL (2.5” front and back)
    - Method MR701 17x8.5 bronze wheels
    - Falken Wildpeak AT3 35x12.5s
    - AJT chrome delete cup holder and shifter plate.
    - blacked out shifter knob (Amazon)

Previous owner was obviously a big AJT fan and decked this interior out in red accents. “Hate” is a strong word, but it’s reserved for people who do that to trucks like this. Some of the replacement black parts are ordered, but here is some of the progress, plus the new blacked out shift knob from Amazon. It’s 100% identical to the OEM, right down to the stitching.

Yep. All the vents, climate control knobs, and steering wheel logo are still BRIGHT red, but that’s for another day.

Looks great! I just recently did the chrome delete as well. Added the V3 Shift knob from AJT Designs as well.DEA343CA-3CC4-439D-9E34-0242EAA6ECD5.jpg

Love it. I wasn’t sure about that shift knob, but seeing it installed changed my mind. May look into something like that in the future.

    Been a busy week.

    1. removed bedside decals
    2. Added 2nd gen pro grille
    3. Did the AJT relocation ( @Tundra234 edition)
    4. Added Baja Designs S1 ditch lights
    5. Washed and waxed (2 day weather break)

    DAEC3BBF-B97B-474A-977B-16B57CC3C08A.jpg 6F7F98DE-03B4-45CD-9CCD-4F0F3A1CDA40.jpg

I just DROVE it all week. Still in the honeymoon phase for sure. I park a mile away from other cars, but I’ve been doing that for a long time so it won’t change. I’ll do a lot to avoid door dings and shopping carts.

The truck is really coming together. We’re obviously not into camping / overlanding territory just yet. But I wanted to have the aesthetic mods squared away before I started throwing racks and tents on it. Once I do that, I tend to put my money toward camping gear and the truck suffers.

Final note: my wife picked out the grille and asked me to buy it before we even had the truck. She also chose the wheels. It’s nice that she’s a part of this build.

Got the Carven TR exhaust thrown on today. Still going to cut the exhaust tip back to the rear axle, so the sound will change a bit, but it’s on and sounds great. Don’t understand how to upload video, if that’s an option, so just trust me lol.

Also, threw on the AJT door handles.

Oh nice! I thought you said you got the Type TR.

Yeah, the type R has a perfect aggressive sound!

Finally got rid of the horrible red vent accents and replaced with black. Small mod, but getting those red vent rings OFF the vents was a pain.

next up is to pull the dash and replace the climate control knobs and steering wheel accents with black. After that, I’ve no desire to mess with door panels, switches, etc.

I don’t love meddling with the interior of the truck. I feel like it’s super easy to mess something small up, and then I’ve got a scratch or loose piece that I’ll notice every second of my future drives, but I can’t stand looking at all the red that this truck started with. Obviously personal preference, but it was really too much and too bright. Aside from Christmas, I don’t understand the red / green color theme.
