Opinions wanted...come inside!

I love this forum so much cause there is so much experience and expertise in here. I come to you all for some opinions. As you can see in the picture below there is some sort of black substance directly under the tailpipe on the floor of my garage. When a finger is swiped on said substance it is not wet, more like black powdery in nature. In addition you can see that the same substance I'm assuming is collecting on the paint directly above the tailpipe which is attracting the dust/dirt. The same area on the passenger side has no dust/dirt accumulated so I know it has something to do with whatever is coming out of my exhaust.

Some info on my truck to hopefully help solve the issue (if there even is an issue). My truck doesn't get driven everyday, it's actually more like only on the weekends if that. I warm up my truck for a couple minutes every time I use it. It's parked in the garage anytime it's home, obviously in the same spot. Its a 22 I bought last April and it just turned 7k on the odo.

So, is this something I should be concerned about? Is this normal and I just need to wash my truck more and clean my garage floor regularly? Any thoughts or options are welcome.

 

Carbon/ soot from the exhaust

 

That was my assumption but I'm trying to find out if it's a bad thing or not. My wife's side of the garage has nothing similar and her Escalade has 50k miles and goes thru the same warm up procedure and it's her daily driver.

 

Mine puts out a decent amount of soot as well. Also sounded like a diesel with that 0W20 oil in it. Maybe there’s a connection.

 

My 2012 and the 3rd Gen both did/do it. Ignore it.

 

And that is the part we don't usually breathe....the airborne part we do....
